glitchDS is a cellular automation music sequencer homebrew for the DS. I've packed glitchDS along with Soundpack 1 - download below.

Looks verrry confusing, but that just gives it more potential for advanced creations [IMG].

Can't wait to try this out.

I was going to post that if you hadn't, haha.
So, this GlitchDS basically interprets the cells as music from the looks of it, interesting.

Yeah, basically, the white are basic cells, and whenever a cell is turned from 0 (black) to 1 (white), the sound clip plays according to the color block placed at that corresponding position.

Hard to explain, simple to learn [IMG].

Ahhh seems it a bit pointless to do this on DS when you can just use fruity loops on pc. Seems like a great app though.

I played around with it yesterday, after watching the video. The controls and rules (system) feel a bit strange at first but once you get used to it, glitchDS is really fun to experiment with. Quite nice to see something like this on DS.

Fact: This was the first homebrew I not only wanted to try, but actually did. [IMG]

This is awesome, I have no musical talent, but love playing with this. Have you checked out AXE, another snazzy "music" program on DS?

Is there a PC equivalent of this? My dad is interested and has no DS.

Edit: Hey, I get an error when trying to save. I'm using an R4 with a Kingston 2GB SD. I even tried copying the save file that comes with it to see if that helped and it didn't. Sample loading is fine and my ROM has been DLDI patched.

Tested on my G6 Lite, works fine after DLDI patching. Very cool, thanks for posting about this.

Theres a folder that looked useless at the time, inside the .rar, that I deleted. You might have too, it had some .save0 file or some other obscure file name inside.

    Think you need that.

although i do get the main point
can we put in our own sounds?

Why bother using Colors when we have Microsoft Paint on the PC?

    Has anyone used the soundpack?
