(note: I'm going to buy the original game either way, but if I go with scenario 1, it will be the Japanese version, and if I go with scenario 2, it will be the U.S. version.)
#1
cost: approximately $73 to import the original disc.
Pros: no need to wait for a dump (no downloading)/ Will work with whatever update the Wiikey Team comes up with.
Cons: Need to wait for the Wiikey update / If DVD+R DL becomes the Wii standard from now on, you might have to buy DVD+R DL anyway...
#2
cost: approximately $45 for the DVD+R DL (20 pack).
Pros: Will probably work with whatever update the Wiikey Team comes up with / you have 20 discs, so if there are DL games in the future, you'll be ready.
Cons: You have to wait for a dump (plus downloading time) / Need to wait for the Wiikey update / Not 100% sure that the burner you have will create working backups.
Thoughts?
(also, I don't believe I've posted anything out of line, but if I have, please let me know and I'll delete it right away.)
