Apple seriously fails
omg, that is some serious fail.
I think it's some kind of plot to make the consumer by an iPhone bumper as well, as there is no way that flaw should have made it past testing.
Lol, apple don't know how to test their products properly. That's a serious design flaw.
There's been speculation that Apple will be forced to give out the bumper free to everyone who bought an iPhone 4.
I'm getting an iPhone 4, and right now am worried about the screen problems. I'm getting a griffin reveal case for the iPhone 4, so that shouldn't be a problem, but it's the screen that I'm worried about. People say the it should go away in a couple of days, but I'm still not so sure about that.
What screen problems are there? I've never heard about it, but that may be because the antennae problem overshadowed it.
They are starting to use Microsoft's approach
If you're talking about the yellow spots, that does indeed go away after a few days.
Essentially the spots are caused by the adhesive they use. The reason they're still present is because they were rushed out of the factory so quickly and not given proper time to evaporate.
On the subject, why anyone would actually use duct tape is beyond me. The solution is as simple as putting it in a case; and there are much better cases than Apple's awful bumper case (and cheaper too). Anyone who doesn't put their 700USD phone in a case is a moron anyways.
You shouldn't have to worry about getting something, otherwise there would be no point getting it.
I knew this was going to happen, it was too good to be true. The trick is to wait for a month and then buy the product.
But if there wasn't a design flaw, i would be surprised. Every company has their downsides. Like Nintendo's VBA and Microsoft's Vista.
With this, i would probably wait for a month or two when the 3DS comes out.
As silly as the design flaw is, it can be easily solved for an inappreciable amount of money.
Because there's usually an app for that.
Wooo? Duct tape?
Duct tape now? Really CNN? Lol if i had a Iphone 4 i wouldnt want to put duct tape over it cause after a long while i bet there will be sticky residue left over when you peel it off.
Arrington wrote a pretty accurate article in response to this:
It's official duct tape can fix almost everything
Clear nail polish and Scotch tape are prettier alternatives.
I'd like to see what Apple has to say about this fiasco tomorrow.
They'll release an updated iPhone with built-in duct tape next September.
