Nintendo AUSTRALIA just said they can't repair my Wii (because of the GPU overheating)... blah!

I have a few quick questions:

1. Will a new Wii overheat? Or have they fixed this? I don't want to get another one and experience the pixels of death again!!

2. I'm thinking about getting the Black Wii from the UK, is it wise to get one from the UK if I am living in Australia?

That is all.

I think the new Wii's have a drive that won't allow DVDR's to play. I'm not sure.
Though you can hack it, you would just have to play games with a hard drive

I remember my Wii being loud and my sisters Wii been much more quieter (because i got mine from launch day) So i think they have fixed it.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Yeah, I don't mind that it won't play DVD discs. I use USB loaders anyway.

My main concern is really with the over-heating.

maybe your hard drive is also powered by the wii's usb port. this is also gives extra heat accumulation for the wii aside from the wiiconnect.
