Nintendogs
Quick Spot
Rhythm Heaven

Sorry for the big list, but there are so many good casual DS games. Also, you rock for doing this for her!

Yeah, what's wrong with buying something for your mother?

DS is one of the first VG systems that has universal appeal. Nothing wrong with getting your mum into videogames. Unless you think they are only for the "cool kids", and off-limits to anyone but them. LOL

My mom is 38, and has a DS, she likes mostly the either old school NES games (Did you mom ever play an NES? If so, get her a DSi cart as well that can play the old school ones, my mom loved it when I got her an R4), and also try out the puzzle games.

To be honest my mom hated her DS until I got her a flashcart, since at that age you're a little more 'money conscious' and don't want to spend so much on games. :/ She did the same when I got my brother one.

In any case, puzzle games and old school games have good appeal, but see what she'll like~!

Super Mario 64 DS. My parents love that one shell minigame where you bump them into each other to rack up points.
