Gaming GETTING a 360...

What are some accessories, games, things, I will need if I get a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16868105006

I am first getting either Gears or Halo, because they both have good co-op and thats what I like in a game, well that and all my friends are pressuring me to get one of the two

What accessories do I need? Does an HDMI cable provide sound, if I choose to get an HDMI cable?

What other "old games"(like near system launch) should I consider picking up? Is Phantasy Star Universe worth playing if I like MMORPGS?

I have Orange Box for PC, no reason to get it on 360. Guitar Hero..? ehh...

And it comes only with a port, not a cable

If you have a friend to play with Gears of War is the best co-op experience I've had in years.

Halo 3 is cool if you're going to be playing on live, has a good community most of the time, though a bit skimpy on maps methinks.

As far as XBLA games, I'd say Super Puzzle Fighter HD is cool, one of my favorite puzzlers.

Actually, since Bioware is now part of EA, there's very big chance that Mass Effect will come out for PS3. Not much hope for the Wii, though...But yeah, definitely get Mass Effect. Very, very good game.

Also, I think you should get Call of Duty 4. Even though the single player campaign is very short (around 3 hour on Easy mode), the story is very well written, and the presentation is amazing. It does not have Co-op, but the multiplayer on Live is excellent. In my opinion, it's a lot better than Halo 3. CoD4's online actually gives you an incentive to play. You get rewarded for doing well, and you gain experience/levels to unlock guns, perks, and other goodies.

Bioshock, if you don't already have it for the PC.

Personally I'd choose GoW over Halo 3 any day, but I've never been a fan of the Halo games. Halo 3 is only worth it for co-op in my opinion. Tag teaming that giant scarab thingy is amazingly fun.

GoW on the other hand, is simply an amazing game. The gameplay, graphics, action, are all indelible. Unlike any other game I've played yet, and the co-op is amazingly fun. The only thing I don't like about the game is that you can't do 4 player vs. with a single console.

Haylo 3 is really fun single player/co-op and excellent multiplayer with heaps of replay.

GoW multiplayer gets boring pretty quickly

Cod4 is ownz. Single player is fun +99 even though short. multiplayer is awesome and you level up and get new guns and shitz./.

Mass Effect is an epic story but the gameplay is average IMO. If you like good stories and role playing you'll like it. Still awesomez though!

Ok well, I placed an order on newegg today

I got:
360 pro with 2 free games
Halo 3
HDMI cable

In the end I chose Halo 3 simply because I already played Gears for PC, and because it has 4 player coop

Also I have bioshock for PC, and I think it sucks. its just an FPS with some... "force powers"(plasmids)

Mass effect or gears is my next choice

And now I'm waiting for it.
