So I could get $75 from my DSi...I would consider it if I knew I could transfer my DSiWare and what store this ad is even from.

    Gamestop.

Anyways, even before the deal was available I was planning on doing this, but then I was convinced not to (I'd lose my DSiware, my bigger screen, my batttery life, etc.). Sad thing is, this was my plan for buying the 3DS since the Japanese price was announced, so now I need $50 more until I have enough to buy it, while if I had sold it, I'd have an extra $50 to spend right now...

I have a DSi that can't play games anymore and a DSi that doesn't work anymore.
If I'm able to get those two fixed quickly that's $150 there. Then there's my DS Lite so thats $200 there!

Trading in to Gamestop is moronic.

Just sell on eBay/craigslist like an intelligent person.

    This x1000.

It may sound like a good deal at first, but GameStop never gives you the good end of a transaction.

For the people living in France, the chain of shops GAME reduce the price of 50% if you return to them your DSi/XL plus 2 games of their list.

    Pfffffffffft hahahahahahahahahaha!

I remember I went over to GameStop wanting to sell a PS2 game. They offered fifty cents.
I know it wasn't the best game, but they would have turned around and sold it for $25.

I won't be trading in my DSi.
I keep every game system I purchase. I'm a bit of a collector. Plus, I have several DSiWare games on it and I plan on moving them to the 3DS when I get it. Also, you could just sell it for cash on eBay or something (what Urza said).

Hey, this had the sealing too. This was a brand new factory sealed item. And they offered me nothing for it LOL. Sorry, forgot to add that fact.

Hmm. I got a broken DS Lite (just the trigger keys), think it's worth selling? lol. Last time I did it, they took broken handhelds.

Really, this trade in deal is horrible. This is what I would do:

    1) Don't trade in, just buy the 3DS.

    2) Transfer DSiWare games when possible.

    3) Sell DSi / DSiXL on eBay for WAYYY more than what they are offering.

    4) ???

    5) PROFIT!

Trading games/consoles in is always the lazy/easy way out. You will never get as good a deal as if you were to sell it elsewhere...
