Germany's StreetView started today in 20 of the biggest Cities( fore example Berlin, hamburg, Cologne, Bonn, Munich etc.).
If you see pixelated/washed-out houses, this are the pussies which fear for their privacy. Some people begun today to take photos of this houses and upload them on panoramio.

Sorry but you have no clue what you're talking about. Let's talk again in 20 years.

with 47? No Thanks, never mind, StreetView is not stealing any privacy, there is even a German StreetView Clone and noone said anything(http://sightwalk.de/).
Oh and besides, it makes people even more curious if they see that exactly this house is washed-out.

I don't think that you are in any position to tell me what is right or wrong and what I know and don't know.

Well I like it ... sadly only the big towns yet ^^

But still I can understand these ppl that are afraid of getting "watched" if there were pics with me doing something I wouldn't want anyone to know I would be pretty pissed and scared as well ... still I have hardly anything to hide

Already checked out some Locations in Düsseldorf where I am sometimes ^^

And people can guess, with seeing your House, what you're doing? I hope its clear that this are pictures, not a webcam, so it should be hard to "watch" and observate your daily life.

If streetview catches you doing something, it's because you're doing it out in the open.
They have as much of a chance to catch you as anybody else.

"Oh my god but they can see in my windows and watch me do (x)" - Well then so can anybody walking down the sidewalk, close your curtains.

If they catch you doing something you don't like you can request to be removed/edited. You can also get caught on the news and in the background of a movie, too... but people don't want to ban news or movies because of it.

Street view is perfect for planning burglaries when you have multiple pictures of different angles of the house. Plus if you can see what car the owners have you have a rough estimation of how much money they have. Plus you get to scope out the place without the chance of being seen beforehand by neighbours.

Watch out Germany, I'll see you when this is over.

You can also do that by walking by.

You would still probably need to scope it out in person though to find out when the owners weren't home.

There you go. Using StreetView will only save you a few minutes for doing the job right.

Actually it will save you plenty of time, and you can scope out entire neighbourhoods without having to leave your chair to find potential targets. Much more than a "few minutes". Especially if you're planning crimes in areas which are more than 30 - 60 minutes away from where you live.

And like I said, you don't raise suspicion in the area, which is what you would do if you happened to walk around taking photos and inspecting houses for entry points.

You would still need to figure out the schedule of the owners
You would still need to see what doors/windows they leave unlocked
You will still need to observe the schedules of the neighbors
You will still need to check entry points on the sides of the house that does not face a street. (Google cars aren't going to trek through your back yard or between houses)

I could go on, but the point is, you can still only save a few minutes doing this, as opposed to driving around and looking for yourself.

Take it from a reformed "enthusiast"

*lol
you really need help! =)

This pictures are not even from this year. maybe I got a new alarm system, a new car, or maybe someone else is living in this house, caring a gun with him. Its really not a help for criminals.

Besides, you can make a BMW leasing for 500€ per Month, don't need to be rich for having a expensive car.
Today you can buy every shit on credit ( at least still in germany)
