Gaming Geometry Wars: Galaxies

The release date on Wikipedia has always been 'Q4 2007' and I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything (rumors or articles) about the release date? Any predictions?

There's a homebrew named Geo Wars that is a lot like Geometry Wars. Check that out to tide you over.

Also while pulled by the maker due to a kind request (not sarcastic) by the dev'rs of Geometry Wars, you can easily still find it online by checking out the 'World Of Stewart' and doing a +Grid Wars v5.4 (or something of the like) in google.

That sucker uses dual analog or whatever you wish and hits the gameplay damn nicely true to form, a bit too true hence the 'pull it please' request.

Its one of my fave homebrew games, they did a nice job on it, music is good and graphics are ok. I just wish they'd spent more time on the sprites though. (wish I'd been there to add some extra tunes too)

[on topic] I hope Geowars gets a budget release on the Wii (unless they've added tonnes of extra stuff) Does anyone know if the DS version plays over the 2 screens (dual screen arena) or is the bottom for the controls?

I don't think the DS version plays on two screens

still should be an excellent game. Looks like they've come up with quite a few new ideas to keep it fresh.

ooh im playing geowars right now, but the save is always getting messed up - even after dldi patching and telling the r4 to ignore creating a .sav, i always have to start fresh every time i want to play...any suggestions?

GW on DS is $30 and Wii $40.

They're justifying the price by adding in outside of the standard mode people know a large pile of new modes and challenges to do. I have no idea what they are or if it makes it even worth the cost, but I've been told they do. Personally, I would more care unless some new mode is that damn good just to play the straight shooter so either on that price is a bit high for my tastes. And the DS one has been shown in pics/clips to just use 1 screen.

is anyone else having problems with GeoWars on an R4? it keeps on telling me that my sav got damaged...even though i told it to ignore creating a sav bookmark thing...

To the guys with R4 problems try this:
Delete sav file
Delete nds file
Copy nds file onto microsd again
Start the game
When it asks you to make a save file, say yes.

It worked for me

In the website it saids m3 and r4 users not to make a sav. file for the game
it would do itself.

Far as I know it's delayed into December. I may not like the store, but they're the only ones with daily updated release dates... gamestop/ebworld.com

Yeah, I also asked in Gamecrazy, and the guy said that it was pushed back to December. :\ I didn't see a paper with the release date on it or anything like that though, so I'm not 100% sure.
