I have the covers on SD but games on USB, maybe the lags come from that setup.
I will make tests. Thanks for your answer.

Do you expect to be enlightened by every post here? I'm glad mine did the service, though.

I putted the "covers" in G:\genplus\snaps\md. Then, no cover shows up. Can you help me?

P.S. I renamed the cover with the same rom's name

This is probably super late, but the .png files need to share the exact name of the .gen files. I'm not sure what romset the OP was using, but the files included in this upload use a nonstandard notation for the rom files (i.e., (USA) instead of (U), complete lack of header marks for roms with those, a few missing dashes, no [!], abbreviated months in the rom names where your rom might have the full month, and several games with incorrect region labels altogether) and are not usable until you go through with something like Bulk Rename Utility to change all of the file names. Also there are some titles that have straight up spelling errors in the title: good luck finding Roger Clement's [sic] MVP Baseball, or El. [sic] Viento in any romset.

Basically it is going to be a pain in the ass, but if you want to use these and are using any romset released in the past decade, you are going to have to batch rename a ton of stuff, and then manually scan every rom, cross-reference them with the names of your .png files, and rename them by hand. It will take forever, and it will suck.
