There was an emu way back but it was scrapped being impossible to pull off anything playable, I do not know if it ever saw a release (I do not have a copy anyhow) but I suggest you do not waste any time trying.

Many noteable titles were remade or ported to the GBA though: phantasy star 1-3 (ok they missed 4 and 1 was a master system title), shining force titles (remake), Earthworm Jim 1+2, golden axe, ecco, sonic and that is off the top of my head at 5 in the morning.
The only series that never really made an apperance was streets of rage (there was a homebrew port of 2 in progress but it never got far)

that's true. actually, earthworm jim 1 and 2 was on the snes too, so i bet that was an easy port

i wouldn't really care if genesis or snes are fully playable on DS. im enjoying the DS and GBA games well enough (but that's just me)

I just thought I would ask, after all, there has been a legitimate attempt to emulate the snes on gba so i figured the less powerful genesis would be that much easier.

They were bad ports on GBA, very glitchy.

emulation is a strange thing

if you ask me the more games from previous consoles you can get running the better!
