Gekido - Now on Switch

Back in 2002, when the GBA was in its prime (and just before GBAtemp.net opened!), there was a pretty cool side-scrolling beat 'em up called Gekido Advance - Kintaro's Revenge :[prebreak]1[/prebreak]

16 years later, and the game has been ported to the Nintendo Switch, this time with co-op gameplay and other new modes, such as Survival and Relic Hunting included:

It looks great and runs smoothly on the Switch, so if you feel like a trip down memory lane, or are into side-scrollers like Streets of Rage, give Gekido a whirl! It's a pretty tough game, but definitely still holds up in 2018!

Never been a fan of these types of games, but nonetheless it looks really good!

Looks good but probably not too different from running on an emulator with filters applied to it.

Had no idea about the history of this game, i thought it was brand new when I saw it on the switch. Thanks for the background story @T-hug Hopefully more of these games will get the attention of classic companies like sega or capcom to actually get a new final fight or streets of rage game. :)

From the screenshots I sae in the eshop it actually looks like a blurry mess... Anyone who bought it can confirm?

Watch the trailer in the OP, it needs to be seen in motion, like I said in the OP.
I can confirm it looks great and runs smoothly, because I've played it on GBA and Switch.
