So I try to run GeexBox, downloaded today from WiiBrew. It gives me the loading screen, the loading progress bar fills up and then my Wii powers down. Red power button light.

Any idea what's going on? No other homebrew does this, including MPlayer variants.

To use an analogy I just posted in another thread:

I asked how to fix my car. You responded by telling me to take the bus.

    Thanks.

I have mplayer_ce working just fine, but I wanted to test out GeexBox. Loading SMB shares in MPlayer is dodgy, so I thought maybe GeexBox would work better for that purpose. If this is a problem for anyone else (and it's a very popular program) I was hoping to shed some light on the subject.

geexbox doesn't support the use of wifi and dvd under linux, it can use lan smb shares. if it fails you must have a crap sd card, files are wrong, etc.
