One more plus for getting a GCW Zero. I wonder if it'll run Cave Story mods too?

I'm expecting a massive boom of pledges the final 2-3 days or so, pledging $160 around then, as a dingoo owner this device has really convinced me.

Is this somehow better than a PSP yet?

It emulates SNES better than a PSP or an Xbox can.

This thing reminds me of an upgraded Caanoo. I hope some of the developers can put down their Pandora's and develop for this device. I would hate for it to disappear like the Caanoo did.

I remember this on my Dinoo running Dingux... Weren't there issues with the music? And if these are fixed, would this also run on a Dingoo?

Why even bother with the PSP version ?
When I found out it existed I wanted to play it so badly, I could hardly wait....
And when I got my hands on it ( or more my eyes on it ) I had to borrow my grandma reading glasses 'cause the spites are so ridiculously small that it really hurt my eyes......
Because of the weird PSP resolution, the game looks like a zoomed out version of the Wii / PC game !

I hope at 320x240 the game would look normal and the pixel art can be fully appreciated.
So I'm looking forward to this !

Too bad it'll never be made available for the DS Lite. A homebrew port couldn't be too hard, I don't get why it isn't being made by someone.

    like this perhaps?
    http://doukutsu.livejournal.com/92406.html

haven't tried it in a looong time, but I remember it being very basic and not a complete game.

edit: actually, if you've got a DSTwo, you could use the DSTwo Linux Beta and run the Dingux version of NXEngine to play Cave Story on a DS Lite. i just tried it and the game works pretty good with the bg music disabled.

Because the DSlite has been succeeded twice over, by the DSi and 3DS, which already have 3 official versions of the game between them (DSi Shop version, 3DS eShop version, and retail 3DS remake). The userbase for a specifically DS version probably just isn't large enough to justify the time and effort for a homebrew port. Especially since it's already available for free to anyone with a halfway-decent PC, Mac, or Linux computer.
