There are literally thousands of games which were released for the DOS Operating System. A list which includes games from a vast pool of RPGs, platformers, action-adventures, strategy simulation, puzzle and logic, and more. A great deal of products got their start while running in DOS, so it is no wonder that years after DOS support was dropped that a DOS emulator would emerge. DOSBox has been unofficially ported to systems such as the PSP, Dreamcast, Wii, Pandora, etc, and now it is currently in beta testing for the GCW Zero. Coupled with the WIP ScummVM port, the GCW Zero is shaping up to tackle most of our retro PC needs.

Looks ace, but what about games requiring keyboard input? I guess they'll be a nightmare :(

I'd also be interested to see how heavier games (X-Com and stuff) fare on it.

i don't know much about the specifics of the project, but i would hope that they would include predictive dictionary support.

they should had thought about L2 and R2 buttons (a la wii classic controller style, maybe) ...more buttons to map to ( and I would LOVE something like that to play Ps1 games)

It is amazing some of the things that were released for DOS. Even more interesting the history behind DOS vs DirectX back in the day.

The lack of touchscreen will ultimately hurt the keyboard support, the best they'd be able to manage is mapping select keys to buttons, or having a button controlled on-screen keyboard.
That is, without resorting to plugging in a USB keyboard of course.
