Hardware GC SD Memory Card

Hello,

i want to make a SD Memory Card for the GameCube, but i dont have a SD cardslot i can spare...so i wondred if i could just solder a MicroSD adapter instead of the Cardslot and use the microSD card, would that work, anybody tried this?
it's a noname microsd card with 1 GB, if that matters...

That shouldn't be a problem. The SD slot is in the end just a slot, nothing special about it.
