Gaming GC saves on Nintendont - Region free?

Some time ago I finally decided to play Baten Kaitos (the first one) and Nintendont (either on Wii or Wii U) hepled a lot.
I chose the US version rather than PAL mostly for 60Hz output and original speed, also forcing 480p on Wii U was great, but this is the kind of game I'd have loved to play in French instead.

I recently saw that a 60Hz patch existed the PAL version, so I'd like to continue my playthrough on that version instead but I'm not sure the US save can be used on the PAL game right?
By any chance, is there a way to convert my US save to a PAL format (if needed)?

I played more than 10 hours and got quite far in the game, so I'd rather not have to start it all over again.

The title ID is different so I'd say it most likely wouldn't see the save automatically. You'd have to edit the save in the virtual memory card so that the title id matches. But besides that, there should be no differences between different region saves, there will be exceptions though.
