i have never used this program before and i am having some difficulties.

i have a chipped NTSC Wii but all of the ISOs that i have are PAL.
when the program asks me what region my Wii is, i select USA. is that right?
anyway, everything seems to work fine. i boot up the disc, select which game to run, and let the audio fix run.
this is where the trouble starts. i am not sure what region to select for the game.
i have tried all of the region options but the screen flashes green then goes black or just goes black or sometimes even stops all video output on my TV altogether (i get i dancing box that says video mode like my Wii isn't even plugged into the TV).

i use component cables and the disc i am trying to run has Metroid Prime 1+2 and Eternal Darkness.

it seems like the problem should be easily fixable but i am not sure what to do.

anybody have an idea how to fix this?

Are the ISOS/GCM's you're trying to burn originally NTSC? I'm thinking you might be trying to run Pal games...but then again you did say you were using component cables.

I don't think PAL GC games run on NTSC Wii's at this time. Due to PAL using 50hertz as opposed to 60 hertz. Most US tv's don't output 50 hertz therefore most games won't run unless the PAL games supported 60hz.

unless the PAL game supports pal60 or 480p on boot....

the PAL format NGC game will never boot on an ntsc wii (jpn or usa)
- you'd best stick to NTSC versions of NGC games

*Let alone show on a 50hz tv, the NTSC wii won't even boot any PAL 50hz game code*

thanks for the info guys.

i always thought that since i had a modchip installed that i could play any region game. well, that seems to be the case for Wii but i guess not for GameCube.

i found some NTSC GameCube ISOs (wow! what an awesome website) and i am no longer getting the problem.

once again thanks for the help. the good news is i only wasted one dvd-r.
