Hacking GC Memory Card formatted to Japan

Hey all,


Recently, I was playing around with Sonic Gems Collection (J) and since i don't know Japanese, i accidentally formatted my memory card. I keep a backup, so i'm fine for the data. But i was wondering, since i am NTSC-U are there any side effects? The games i tried (THAW, LoZ:WW) could save/load perfectly on the card, even though it is formatted to Japan.

So, i think i'm just gonna stay like this. Suggestions?
