GCN GC Action Replay v1.14 Says (M) code is for a different game upon entering it in "NEW GAME"

I have one problem with GameCube Action Replay. It says whatever code I try to put in for a new game is for a different game. I go on "NEW GAME" (in the Europe games area) type in Animal Crossing and it says the codes are for a different game. Please note I am using the American Memory Card save and on what might be either European or American Action Replay. Please Help!
