A few years ago I had a GBC emulator on my phone, called Super GoBoy, which I used to play games like Pokemon. It only had one way to save games, which was save states.

Recently I took a backup of my phone on my PC, and looked for the save states. I found them, and I tried (not expecting them to work) to run them in VBA. Of course, they didn't run, I got "unsupported visual boy save game version 1934844487", but I played around with giving loading other completely random files, and they all yielded similar error messages, so I don't think it does a difference.

But as, at least as I have understood it, a save state is just an image of the RAM at the time of saving, it should be able to somehow convert these saves to something that could be used with other emulators.

But I have no idea how I would go around doing that. So if anyone could help me with this, I'd be really happy.

This is one of the savefiles, it's for Pokemon Crystal.
