So I bought from GBATemp's sponsor nds-card.com and have a few questions.

How legit is the company/trustworthy?
How long (FOR YOU) did it take to come?
When it came, Was it in the original package?
Is there any notices of the Package being pre-opened?
Do they actually test it before sending?
Can I use the R4i-sdhc.com 3DS RTS card on my n3DS XL 11.0 Luma?

1-yes I think so
2-2/3 weeks. I live in Portugal
3-yes, I think so, with the card, protection and a micro SD USB device
4-No
5-i think so, yes, according to what they say
6-yes, I use it, but I put it ysmenu there to prevent the time bomb.

It's 100% legit

It took ~40days for my flashcart to arrive in Hungary

When it came, Was it in the original package?

Ye, it was in a thick yellow bubble-wrap, and inside was the flashcart in its original packaging

Is there any notices of the Package being pre-opened?

I don't think it was ever opened, because it didn't had any fingerprints on it, or any visible traces of the package being opened. The only thing I noticed, is that the packaging got a bit damaged, but I guess it happened during shipping. It was very minor, and it only affected the external packaging of the flashcart, the stuff inside it were unaffected.

Do they actually test it before sending?

iirc they say they test it before shipping... at least, that's what I remember reading

if we're talking about the same card, then yes, it works on my cousin's 11.0 vanilla (unhacked) 3DS

About the timebomb: some flashcarts' stock kernels have a built-in clock, and if it triggers, it'll brick itself, so you need to buy a new flashcart every-so often. iirc it's built into the kernel, so by using a different kernel, you can circumvent the bricking mechanism.

Turns out he doesn't have a r4isdhc but a r4i-sdhc , so he doesn't need to worry about the time bomb

If this is true, then only r4isdhc cards are vulnerable to YSMenu bricking, not r4i-sdhc (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Yes, only r4isdhc : those with 201x date and gold/silver which are just all the same which is a scummy move to make you try to buy a new card each year(not as scummy as gateway tho )

So which ds flashcards don't have a timebomb? I'm thinking about getting one for ds and dsi games on my A9LH 3DS.

1. Yes. It seems a bit sketch paying for it, but it's just so it's harder to track back to the seller for legal reasons
2. It only took about a week for me to receive mine, I live in the US
3. Mine was in original retail packaging
4. The retail box was opened and reclosed, but they do supposedly test their products and update them before shipping them out. The shipping package arrived with no signs of being opened.
5. There really is no way to tell, but I believe so because my retail pakage was opened and reclosed
6. You should be able to, but I would recommend the r4i Gold over the r4i-sdhc. I've personally tested both and I just liked the way the r4i gold worked compared to the sdhc, especially when it comes to the kernel and UI (which is r4wood).
