Opium, seems you might have not tested the G6 properly. You say you used the default settings for putting GBA games on the G6. I think the reason some GBA games didn't work is because you used the realtime save patch on them. I have the M3 and when you use the realtime save patch on some GBA roms they won't run at all. So don't patch them with the realtime save on the G6 and I can almost guarantee you they will run properly.Â

By the way, the M3 has the same DS rom compatibility as the G6. Pokemon Dash doesn't work and Animal Crossing doesn't save correctly.

Thanks. Yeah I was made aware of this. I'm currently investigating and I'll make changes to the review soon.

Thank's for making a review.
For gba, as said by assassinz, I dont use RTC, compress, or anything else.
Of course, why do they provide it to us if it's not working ?

Well, for your Save disapering problem :

In fact there is :

Sram (common for all game)

per game :
Slot 0 (default slot)
Slot 1
Slot 2

When loading a game (I allways pick default Slot 0, but you can use any of them), the save is writen to Sram, and the game booted.

When you finish playing and switch off your DS, your save game is STILL in the Sram.
if at that point you remove the cartridge and bakup to PC, you will have your same save as before you start the game. (so no new saves, as if your saves didn't worked)

To prevent that, always switch ON the DS after playing.
It will Automaticaly write the Sram to the default slot 0 of the game you were playing.

then, back it up to your PC, or on another slot using Select.

I Hope it will help everyone

Shame about the GBA support and the rather high price for what it does. Meh, I'm still going to wait untill there's something better on the market. (Is Flash 2 Advance actually going to come up with something?)

I've made the ammendments to the G6-Flash review. Here's a new bit:

QUOTE said:
Ten games worked and six didn’t (due to either white screens, or major graphics glitches). Now, if I take off real time save all sixteen of these games will work. I'm surprised that the G6 Manager would include real time save as a default setting when compatibility is so low. Unfortunately real time save continues to make a nusience of itself in a way I've never seen before or any other flashcart. If you write a GBA rom without real-time save the GBA boot-loader will attempt to patch the rom for you. When you boot up the said GBA game it'll load into the working memory of the G6 then a small message will pop up saying "Would you like to apply real time patch?", with the cursor highlighted over yes. If you select yes the boot-loader will actually patch the rom for you. This message appears everytime you boot up the game, so if you try to start the game too fast and accidently select 'yes' (as it is automatically highlighted) then your rom could potentially not work anymore. I would have thought that if you deselected real time save when you wrote the rom the flashcart you purposely didn't want that feature enabled. It's rather annoying to be greeted by this message each time when you already told the G6 Manager you didn't want to enable the feature.
