Since a lot of people have been asking questions about which memory stick is best, and many people have been posting their results in scattered threads, why not put them together for easy comparison?

    Download BlackSPEED v2:
    http://www.xquaker.com/bs/bsv2.rar
Put the blackSPEEDv2 folder into your PSP>GAME folder
    Run BlackSPEED v2
Look on the root of your memory stick for the blackSPEED.log.txt and post the results from that file
Please edit in your card's brand and size into the results.

I'll start it off with mine:

Good idea Shyn! Quick question, I put the Blackspeed folder in my GAME 150 folder, does it make a difference? I dont know why I did that, i think I saw a thread in another forum that said to do that or something. Anyway, Ill redo my test later to make sure

Good idea Shyn. Hopefully we'll get a nice compilation going here. My results:

I've got a fake MS Pro Duo (I'm not too sure about that, but it says that it isn't MagicGate compatible)...

It seems even better than the Lexar Platinum II (on the performance index - PI) [IMG]

Well, for being a fake one I bought ages ago... It's pretty good [IMG]

Look at the speeds, not just at the PI. Your card is slooooow.

Well, there's only a big difference on the 1024k blocksize, and as I've wrote before, it's good for a fake card [IMG]

And who cares about 12 or 16? [IMG] All the games are fluid, even compressed, and that is the thing that counts [IMG]

This is a fake from DX, but at least the capacity is genuine. I'll test a couple more when I get home.

Exactly, I thought the same too... Are we sure that Blackspeed is reliable? [IMG]

I don't put a lot of stock in the PI number, but it is a reasonably good test platform. Here are my other two:

EDIT: Raulpica, your card appears to perform above the norm with small blocks. Where'd you find that card?

    there are mine

    also on the PI thing
theres a computer based ver to test how fast your computer computes (tests the CPU)
    the lower the better

that's probably 2 different things tho

the pi you're referring to is the amount of time it takes to calculate pi to the nth decimal place

in this case i would think PI = performance index (as it doesn't make sense to do a pi calculation on a flash card...)

great card, but again, while playing games, i can't tell the difference between the 3 of them

loading stuff onto them I notice a huge difference, but once the psp is fired up, no difference at all

Forgot to mention that it plays everything flawlessly, NO LAG at all on GTA games or GoW. Simply perfection.
