    Heya Guys,

Just been listening to some of the old podcasts, and talking to Mister Urza and thinking we should totally revive, regenerate and renew the podcast into something amazing!
I know Ace was looking into something, but now he's gone??

    Any one know what's happening?

Or interested in getting something running?
Any uber talented talkative charismatic people up for making some awesome!?

Urza and I have some awesome ideas. Like a very structured awesome regular podcast with a real hardcore sense.... possibly appealing to console modders and stuff.

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes here!

    Best wishes
    Little
    xoxo

i've been thinking about some kind of podcast rebirth for a while, pretty much since the death of the monkast, still haven't thought of a good name for the podcast tho

i was thinking we could have news more about the nds/wii/psp hacking community as well as official games/consoles/news and do little random segments if we wanted

but of course we would need people who are involved in the different hacking communities, and they could fill everyone in on the happenings

i'm into the general technology/gadget news, ps3 news (own a ps3, but not hacking), android phones and phones in general, and the nds hacking community, mostly the dstwo, as that's the only flashcart i own (2 of them actually) and i'm up to be part of the podcast (also we need to have charismatic, funny people on the podcast to keep it from being boring)

and it would be best to be weekly at approximately an hour each podcast (but not have any real time requirements/limits, just ballpark) just to keep everybody up to date with all of the happenings from all of the different hacking communites/the news/everything i said before

also, a weekly email segment isn't advised, just some kind of special segments if we do get some, also, i've been thinking we could host the podcast on soundcloud, that way people could make comments at particular spots during the podcast, as well as an RSS feed(with an .mp3 attached) for mobile users, with a link to the soundcloud file for computer users in the description (soundcloud also has android/iOS apps)

the main goals would be to keep the podcast entertaining as well as filling people in on the happenings of the week around gbatemp (kind of repeating myself here)

    I'd listen.

But I don't think I would be on.
I only made the Monkast worse. [IMG]

no u didn't ifish, u made it alot more amusing, it's just some people (monkat) got annoyed at your interrupting of people and whatever else you were doing while podcasting, in fact, your knowledge in the iOS community is pretty unique here at GBAtemp

Thats what I liked about you when you were on the monkast. You should definitly be a part of any new podcast just based on this fact.

P.S. i forgot to add that there should be 3-5 people on the podcast, any less and there are a lot of awkward silences, any more and it's just too crowded and hard to follow

I always wanted to be on the monkast but I never had the time to do it. I'd be willing to make time and come on any new version of it as a guest just to shoot the shit so to speak and talk games and gadgets.

edit: 3-5 people seems like a good number, but I think 3 people should be almost full time permanet hosts and keep the other to spots for guests.

yeah, i was thinking 3 or 4 permanents guests, leaning towards 4, and occasionally have special guests to make it 5

This is just a plot thought up by Little to get people together for a drinking game themed podcast

I haven't the voice nor the slick language skills to get me through an hour-long Tempcast. I'd be buried alive. So choose me if you'd want to see that. [IMG]

If you weren't there it would mean more monkat.
    You practically made it palatable.

    (I still haven't listened, though.)

that seems a bit much, doubt he's gotten very many if any submissions

plus you can't really tell how people will act in a podcast, doing everything at the spur of the moment, by a rehearsed clip

If you can't commit two minutes of audio, how can you place an hour worth of conversation, for a long period of time? And what I think the point of it is, is to see your voice is easy to understand/isn't annoying, and your mic is of decent quality.
