I want to get my foot in the door of the IRC world, and I figured GBATemp's IRC would be a great start for me.
However, I know almost nothing about using IRC.

To make this short: How do I set up Trillian to connect to the GBATemp IRC?

First you uninstall Trillian and get a better IM client like Pidgin or Miranda.

Then get a dedicated IRC client like mIRC.

Now follow this, replacing #gbatemp with #gbatemp.net:

But I have no problems with Trillian. [IMG]

And you'll have no problems with a better client either (except maybe Miranda, but the problems are worth it [IMG] ).

Either way, IM clients aren't great for use on IRC networks. Get mIRC.

I guess I'll give that a go instead then.
    Thanks, Urza.

    Just get Chatzilla for Firefox.

Almost as bad as using an IM client.

I used Trillian for IRC for ages, but eventually switched to mIRC since it was causing me too many problems.

mIRC is okay, but I'd use XChat or irssi over it for standard usage any day.

It's a shame they don't make irssi for Windows. Such a great client with a lot of customization.

    They do.

I personally could never live with a command line IRC client.
