GBAtemp IRC Channel Rules & User Guide
Read the Rules before you Chat!

If you don't know by know, GBAtemp.net has its own IRC channel! Feel free to stop by anytime for a chat in #GBAtemp.net on Efnet. But first, I suggest you read the guide before entering. It's our duty to keep the board and the channel clean as possible, and this is just another effort to help do so.
So, yeah, what I've done is written a short guide to using the IRC channel, as well as including a list of rules that need to be followed when chatting in the channel. So, please, read the guide and make sure to come stop by the channel sometime!

You've got another chance, now, of course. Break them again and I don't think I'll be so lenient anymore.
But remember, usually a ban isn't permanent.

But, really, it's not encourage. That's not one of the more strict rules and will probably occasionally be bent.
I can't speak on the behalf of every other operator though...

Actually the main problem with the IRC channel (and I mean only #gbatemp.net, not the other temp chans) is that the ops do not agree with what rules are actually rules. Until you all get together (and I mean ALL OF YA) and decide finally on what is what, the channel will continue to suffer.

The chans like #ndstemp are still separate, but #gbatemp.net is considered an extension of the site, in my mind at least.

We're strongly against 4chan and "4chan-ism", as it is slowly ruining the quality of our board. Sure, you can be silly and have fun - but there's a difference between being silly and "4chanism."

This is a good idea, though spikey seriously needs to chill. Whenever he's there he goes nuts and kicks whoever posts a 4chan link, no matter what the content yet I were to upload the content to another site, it'd magically become okay.
Thats just wrong.
