    [IMG] GBArms 3.2 Released

    What's new :
    - New Rom Renamer engine: Now supports renaming inside of .ZIP files. (thx Vinpire)
    - Faster and Safer Rom recognition.
    - New Details on each rom: "genre" (ie. Driving, Action, Soccer...) (thx ViNcZ)
    - Improved Design / Layout.
    - New tab: "Rating": You can rate the games on a great online database.
    - Verified Voting System. (thx Angelical_1)
    - Top Rated Games List.
    - Export of "have/miss" List as an HTML page
    - Translation System (11 languages supported so far)
    - Several small tools added (like "Extract", "Copy game details", "Stretch picture", etc.)
    - All pictures & boxarts & nfo available, with packs
    - Most bugs from previous version are fixed (windows resize, jpeg errors...)
    - Removed the (useless) plugins system, the renamer is now part of the program

    Main Features:
    - Lists all PocketHeaven's validated releases with +15 details on each game
    - 2 screenshots, 1 boxart (cover) and 1 NFO available for each game, download-able instantly with GBArms
    - Links Database: for each game, you can send HTTP links and everyone can see them once they are validated by the moderators
    - Powerful Search Engine, using any detail (2 search filters are allowed!)
    - Nice-looking XP interface, using tabs, panels, bitmap-buttons... 2 display modes available!
    - Fast Rom Scanner: Recognize all roms (2 CRCs for each game, plus a special recognition method, by reading the rom's header)
    - Cool Front-end: once the roms are scanned and the emulator's path defined, just double-click on a game to play it!
    - Easy Rom Renamer: Use personalised renaming formating. Allows you to rename GBA and ZIP files, and also GBA inside ZIP files!
    - Extremely easy & fast update: press F12 and your list is up to date! You can also re-download the complete list.

    And SO much more !!

    Download v3.2 here

Yes! GBArms 3.2! Thanks Costello for the much anticipated 3.2 release . [IMG]

[edit] So, what do I do with v3.0.1? Do I just uninstall that?

[edit2]So, I uninstalled GBArms 3.0.1 and it left a 'romdat.txt.bak'. It said one of my other programs may need it. Do I delete this?

I completely uninstalled GBAarms 3.0.1 before installing the new version. Works fine for me

You can safely delete this file. 3.2 creates a new installation directory.

Another problem I seem to be having...

Some roms are recognized as 'Good Numbered' in v3.0.1 but are either 'No-Intro' or 'Bad CRC' in 3.2.

No-Intro Note: there seems to be an extra 'h' at the end of the CRC to make these different.
    0070 - Klonoa - Empire of Dreams (J)(Eurasia)
    0071 - Mario Kart Advance (J)(Eurasia)
    0072 - Doraemon Midori No Wakusei (J)(Perversion)
    0079 - Ougon no Taiyo (J)(Eurasia)
    0236 - Game Shark GBA (U)(Independent)
    0247 - Mortal Kombat Advance (U)(Venom)
    0250 - American Bass Challenge (U)(Dumper)
    0303 - Peter Pan - Return to Neverland (U)(Venom)
    0314 - Planet Monsters (E)(Rocket)
    0578 - Nicktoons Racing (E)(Patience)
0601 - Hanafuda Trump Mahjong Depachika Wayouchuu (J)(kaMX)
    0606 - Duke Nukem Advance (E)(LightForce)
    1235 - Fire Emblem (U)(Venom)

    Bad CRC
    0116 - Caesar's Palace Advance (U)(Mode7)
1394 - Peter Pan - The Motion Picture (E)(Rising Sun)

Again, these were recognized as good numbered in 3.0.1.

If I want to download the game images of non-sequential releases, is there a way to do this?

I'll be going methodically through the database (dat) to verify and ammend any inaccuracies. Though, it will take a number of weeks, so please don't hold your breath (unless of course you're very good at holding your breath)

    Kind Regards Angelical_1

Nope, sorry. The only methods supported are "Single Release" of "Range of Releases". Download ONLY selected releases might be added one day, though it's not a priority listed.

I believe I have fixed all the roms in the database that you refered to apart from "1394 - Peter Pan - The Motion Picture (E)(Rising Sun)". Exactly what is your error regarding this rom?

EDIT: Please use the "Download Complete" database, then rescan. Sorry forgot to mention that. heh

    Kind Regards Angelical_1

Thanks Angelical, everything is fixed now except for Peter Pan, but don't sweat it. I'll live with this. [IMG]

Wow, some things have improved a lot (but i liked the other images that said "missing"more, though [IMG] ). I've also noticed some translation glitches, cause some spanish sentences are too long [IMG] That's why i named the translation "0.99b", only a beta, but that has no importance [IMG]

PS: does anyone know if the bug that had the other version that consisted in resizing the window to the default size has already been corrected? thx

Wow cool no problems with this release perfect... OK near just one question:

I have 5 unknown ROMs and want to keep them. I also have pictures for them so how can I tell the program which picture to what ROM (do I have to give these pics special names)??

No no betas they are collections like 100 NES ROMs in 1.

And for those ROMs I took some screenshots and I want to know how to teach GBArms to show these pics in the interface??

check the "number" of the unknown game (for example X0001)
put a picture named "X0001t.png" in the pictures folder... and so on...

*edit: I've noticed 1 annoying bug, I won't tell anything about it, but if someone reports the error I'll have to make v3.2.1 [IMG]
