Hacking GBA VC on AuReiNAND not working

Booting while holding L dumps me on a black screen. My sysNAND is on 9.2, and I'm using A9LH... Am I missing a part of the set-up? I'm looking here under the Regular Mode section.

Do you have firmware90.bin on your SD? It should be in the rei folder and is needed to boot sysnand with sig patches.

Boom, got it. I was missing the firmware90.bin file in the rei folder. I was able to use Cubic Ninja to boot *hax, installed FBI, the patch, and the game, and it all works now.

did you install the patch on sys nand

Did rename the "arm9loaderhax.bin" file to anything else without changing the payload settings?
