NOA has confirmed that they are now working on the next Game Boy handheld system..

While hundreds of thousands of gamers eagerly await the release of the GBA SP in just a few weeks, Nintendo of America has already sent out word that they are indeed working on the successor to their current 32-bit handheld. Unfortunately, there are no other details available at this point. Maybe Nintendo will implement some of the features similar to those found on Nokia's N-gage.

Of course it will be 64bit, or at least I think it would cause 32 is getting out of style since 32 was the age of SNES. But I think it will be 64 bit and this time it will have a frelling adapter instead of always having to use batteries

Remember that number of bits is not everything... Personal Computers are still mostly 32 bits, but have a look at what an Athlon Xp 2800+ with a Radeon 9700 Pro can do.... [IMG]

I saw a pic of a smaller n64 console (handheld) with all the n64 buttons and a pic of mario 64. We all know that it's not true but who knows ...

Well making a new console takes years to make. I guess it'll be out from 2005 at least. It doesn't take months to make u know.

This is really good. But this doesn't mean to stop buying regular gba games. I still will play my regular gba games if the new gba is allready out. But I think I'll stop buying 3D games. games like zelda, james bond, golden sun 2,... will still be neat to play.

I don't think there will be a phone in it. It will be to expensive then, and nintendo doesn't do such things. they keep it with gaming.

They have a few competeitors, especially the new Nokia, whick will play old PS1 games.

Although the battery will only last 2 hours, and you have to take all the casing off to change the game...

and it's so expensive because there is a phone in it. nintendo won't do that, so I hope the price will be 150-200euro

Remember that ANNOUNCING something means nothing... Sony announced PS3 right after PS2 was fresh out on the shelters... and we haven't seen it yet, and won't see it till 2004/2005 probably. ;=)

I hope the new handheld will have alot of connectivities, like ONLINE gaming, it would be great..
I wish the GBA had it.. Maybe someone will create one, sooner or later.

I hope it'll have a bigger screen, and this time make it with a front-lit one (at the first attempt). So I don't wast my money buying two same but diffrent GameBoys, I hope they plan this right this time.
