Hiya, My SP used to work fine, but for some reason, it suddenly decided that When you press Down on the D-pad, and the select button area, the sound fades in and out a lot..

My ex-friend's GBA:SP did this same thing as well...

I searched around a bit, and i dont see anyone else with this problem..

So anyone know a fix at all?

Thanks <3

Has it ever been taken apart?

The speaker isn't attached to the board, it and its contacts are just pressed against it. If a screw is loose, or you have a cheap aftermarket shell, then the pressure may just be enough to slightly separate it from the board.

If a screw is NOT loose and it's an OEM shell, then you may consider soldering the speaker to the board. If that doesn't work, let me know. I've got dozens of extra SP speakers :)

Kind of a bump >_< but, I guess I never got around to checking this post :wtf:; *Saw it for the first time*

It's OEM, and has never been taken apart as far as I know (got it used)

I'll have to try making sure the screws are tight. Thanks for the info :D!
