Hi

A friend has asked me to see if there are any type of flash cards available for a GBA SP console, like their seems to be for NDS?

He basically wants to give his GBA SP as a gift to a very young small kid, but he has very little games. I was looking everywhere but can't find anything anywhere.

Just looking for something simple and very cheap, equivalent would be something like the R4 or the DSTT etc. Went to dealextreme can't find anything there.

Again just to clarify the flash cart is going to be used directly with a GBA SP console.

Thanks to anyone that can direct me to a shop or reccommend me a cart.

I'm not sure if $30 is ok or not, since it was for a kid and he is used to buying these cards for around $10-$15 dollars, but i'll ask him.

Here's your best bet. You'll have to patch the games beforehand.

Asked several times before.

Same thing here, except he has a Gameboy Micro: http://gbatemp.net/t232794-looking-to-get-...micro-flashcart

You will want to skip anything that says lite, or if you want to try carving a shell to hold a lite version of any of the flashcarts listed.

Don't get a 3in1 unless you already have a NDS.

Hi

You seem to be familiar with most of the carts, you;ve listed quite a few in that link you posted. If you had to buy one purely for use with a GBA SP, which cart would you buy?

Looking for under $30 US dollars, including shipping preferably.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
