My Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World does not save properly.

Whenever I save and later turn off the game, then later turning it on, it says the file is corrupted or the file is missing.

I am aware that my GBA cart's battery is dry and uses flash saves until the battery is replaced.

Is it possible to save the file to my R4DS?

Thanks, and have a good day.

I posted here because I didn't know where to post the post. =/

It saves fine on my phone.

Wait, what? You are using a legit cart? Was confused because this was in the emulation section...

Try using Rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts with a QTip.

Also, ensure you have a REAL cart. So many fake GBA games I see everywhere...

Real cart should look EXACTLY like this:

Bah, shit. I can't believe I missed that.

If your battery is dry you HAVE to replace it. You can't save the internal save to the R4. However most GBA games DON'T have internal batteries like GBC/GB games. I say it is most likely a contact issue, or dirty contacts.

Keep in mind that the cart in the picture is an US cart.
If you have another region cart, it would look different.

Can you post a picture of what the cart looks like?
