ROM Hack GBA Pokemon Games?

I have a EZFlash V 3 In 1 Combo. Now, Super Street Fighter II Revival, and Super Mario 3 Advance save fine. But none of the Pokemon Games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen) do. Is there something i have to do each time i save? Or do they require some sort of special patch?

A quick reply would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Ruby seems to be the only one that works. Since it has some sort of patch animation before it. How can I transfer my Ruby sav to VBA? and then transfer it back to my SD card (after doing some encounter hacks, lol)

Have you tried patching your ROMs with the latest EZFlash IV client? I'm not entirely sure, but I remember reading from a thread here that there is a need to patch the ROMs.

Don't take my word for it though. Hope I helped

ZAF is right
you need to patch it before playing but the ez flash client is not reccomended.
GBATA is better
if youre gonna patch it with the ez client, make sure to have the reset patch unchecked. that messes up saves when playing from psram

Ahh i think i remember having that checked... Looks like i'll have to repatch them, lol.

Could anyone help on the transferring sav issue? As im really trying to get myself the old starters/legends using Ruby on VBA, lol.
