To put it short, sometimes it just doesn't load at all.
I've just bought a 3in1 Expansion Pack yesterday.

All it does is show me this:

[/] 2 games
And a blank page.

And when you press any buttons, it doesn't do anything.

I have an R4 btw.

The modes a color coded, the blue screen text is PSRAM mode, green screen text is NOR mode.

Switching between the modes you use the L and R buttons. It also tells you what mode your in at the bottom screen. Are you wasting our time?

It also tells you what the buttons do in a small window on the bottom screen. You must be wasting our time since you don't even bother to read whats on the screen.

The blank screen thing is more likely you didn't load anything to NOR mode first and tried to access the 3in1 with nothing on it.

Well that's exactly the problem. Whenever I try to change modes, it doesn't.
It just freezes at the home screen. I can't do anything. The bottom screen doesn't go from blue to green. It just stays in PSRAM.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
