I've got an EZ 3-in-1 (lite edition) and I'd like to use it on a normal sized DS and possibly a GBA. Is there any sort of hardware I can get to extend the size to make it compatible?

No, I'm perfectly happy with the 3-in-1, since sitting flush with my DS Lite is important to me. I'd just like to know if there is a GBA size adapter out there being sold so I can use it in another DS without buying a whole new cart.

I vaguely recall the M3 Real coming with something like what I'm looking for, to save them having different bundles for the DS Lite and DS Phat.

Way back when the EZ4 was supposed to have something called the EZ mugen that could do that but it never made it to market.

You can however adapt the EZ 3 in 1 case (I did it for an original ez4 lite about 2 years ago and have not looked back), you can buy a throwaway GBA game (I believe the traditional suggestion is barbie horse adventures but whatever you can get).
Failing that I ground down a case once and attached a ribbon to it to pull it out.

Or just take it out of the case, and put it in the Gameboy.

Worked fine with my GB micro!

You have to take it out of the case. And I heard it's hard to get out

Just one screw? I had no trouble at all! It was a bit more fiddly getting it back in the case though.

As for getting the naked 3-in-1 out of the GB Micro, I just levered it out with a screwdriver, if that was what you meant?

I wonder if you could just pick up one of the M3 GBA expansion GBA-size cases and try putting the 3-in-1 in that.

it is easier to put the PCB of a 3in1 in the shell of the crappy purple case of the firelink 128M and use a glue gun to hold it in place.

you can either glue down the rumble or snip it off before you transfer it to a larger shell.
