How do people tell if it's version 1.0 or 1.1? Are there specific changes to look for?
no-intro 2k9: preservation v1.1
lol that NFO makes me want to see if its true
But obviously its not
... Or is it?
are you shitting me?
Who knows how many games out there have undiscovered 1.1 versions? Not like it's easy to tell without dumping them...
I do know a DS game with a supposed 1.1 version- Lego Star Wars 2. It was never dumped.
Yay, let's go for the 3000
Not unless LAN rips Megaman in half with his bare hands after telling him to shut up in that screenshot above.
Actually, you don't need to dump a game to know if it's a 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc.
On GBA games, there's an imprint on the cartridge of 2 numbers. Sometimes there's a letter following this. The letter (or lack of) will tell you the version.
So for instance, seeing 34A imprinted will tell me that the cart is a v1.1 (the numbers are completely irrelevant). If it was 41B, it would be v1.2. 99 would tell me that it's v1.0 (note that there's no letter).
Most Nintendo games have this type of imprint somewhere. SNES, N64 I believe are on the back, GBA on the front. NDS has printed (as opposed to imprinted) info on the back where N0 = v1.0 and N1 = v1.1, N2 = v1.2, etc.
