Hacking Gateway reboots my N3DS when I try to load sysnand mode

Whenever I try to boot into sysnand mode from the Gateway menu on my N3DS by holding B and pressing A, my system reboots. Any ideas why it's doing this? I'm trying to install GBA VC to sysnand with BBM because my nands are unlinked.

(Yes I know GW won't play GBA VC, I also have ReiNand installed)

It's supposed to reload into the installed system version but with sig checks and such disabled.

This means if you have menu hax or whatever installed to sysnand it will trigger again. (Unless you have it set to only trigger with a certain button pressed.)
