REGION-FREE and FIRMWARE SPOOFING released to beta testers !!! We are ecstatic to announce the beta release of our much awaited region liberator :-) All beta testers are kindly asked to feedback any issues in a timely manner so we can move the release to the wider public.

OSX fans :- We searched high and low for a suitable SD image writer and came up empty handed :-( therefore we decided to code our own tool for you :-) Please feel free to make use of our Mac OS 3DS SD Imager tool in place of the win 32 disk imager mentioned in our guides.

As always ENJOY !

Note: we are aware of compatibility issues with the iQue and HK units, rest assured work is in progress !

if you were a beta tester, would you be able to get a free gateway card? And how "special"?

They wouldn't give you a free gateway. Review=/=Beta test. And they emailed me asking this.
"send us your console region and firmware version, we could contact you for beta
testing."

I responded with:
"Console Region:
NTSC-U

Firmware:
One 3DS On 4.4
One 3DS On 4.5
One 3DS On 5.1"

And I haven't gotten a response back yet so who knows. Beta testing can be a long and extensive process considering you have to knock out bugs on all possible variables (like console regions, firmware, etc) so it just depends on what they're looking for.

Can a beta tester report if software that require the latest firmware work on the spoofed firmware? For instance system transfer or the eshop

so you have a gateway card correct? what do you think of it? Do you prefer buying it or waiting a bit to see if it gets updated for higher firmware?

Yes. Did you not see the pic in my sig? :P. But I think its nice. The one-game-per-sd thing is annoying but other than that its nice. I'd wait for Devins review if you're on the edge about it.

sonic2756 I just have one thing I want to ask: since your on lower firmware doesnt that mean you cant access the eshop and other various functions that new updates provide you? doesnt that bother you? I mean id trade the update for gateway but arent updates supposed to fix bugs and all. Im getting my 3ds xl tomorrow in the mail and dont know what to do: buy a gateway, buy a dstwo card, update? im frikin confused as hell. Im afraid i might make the wrong decision (i am very low on money as i cant even currently afford the dstwo)

The games+future homebrew outweigh the updates. I have another 3DS XL for eshop stuff. If I was you, I'd check the firmware on your new 3DS and if its 4.1-4.5 I'd get a gateway since the blue card can play regular 3DS games.
