True, but if they dont people start freaking out and calling them liars and thieves - they dont need that kind of shit. But to be fair the beta seems to be done so the exploit is usable, seems they are working on emunand or whatnot since its a pretty big feature, a must have that is! They also need to protect their code if they havent til now to keep their profits.
They have never been to communicative
Remember the 5 months gap?

Even if they weren't what sense would it make for them to wait on that release?
If the N3DS will be over 9.2 and on 9.4, if possible they could add the support now and people would buy a Gateway and N3DS at launch bundled together.
If it's on 9.2 or lower they could still release it now and people would buy a Gateway and N3DS at launch bundled together.
It would be even a smart move to do it now because people wouldn't have to wait.
Waiting would be rather stupid because if the update won't be out by the Europe launch of the N3DS people won't buy the Gateway but rather a Sky3DS or if out by then the DSTwo which promised 9.4 support as well.
So no matter how you look at it: There is no logical reason in waiting other than that features they want to include are not finished yet.
I don't buy that they still have server problems.

So for them, it's a possibility to gain more bucks.

If Supercard's new flashcard can support 9.4+ and all these new consoles come with 9.4 and beyond, then it might be game over for Gateway if Supercard has the same good features as Gateway and more. I'm curious to see if Supercard is using an another exploit not blocked on 9.3 firmware.

Without trying to sound like an arse, what you're saying is totally selfish (and understandable obviously) as you want the update out you want to play the games etc. So I can get that, but to suggest what their business plan should be etc Is really a bit silly, I'm sure they know what they're doing, heck they probably have a business manager (maybe not a legit one) but I'm sure they know exactly where they are and where they want to be and if it was in their best interest to release it now they would, just need to be a little more patient
Now that we've seen what kind of exploit this is using and Gateway is kinda just piggybacking off of Smea's exploit, they don't really seem like innovators anymore, but I guess most things in the hacking scene work like this anyway, people take one thing and further develop it or change it.

Weren't there posts saying it would support 5.0-9.4? Or is that badly translated? I kinda briefly skimmed the Supercard thread.
