No they don't care about when they release it because they want to make sure it's working as best they can before release.

Release a buggy product and bad reviews will be all over the internet, release a good product and people will write good things and recommend your product.

Irrelevant to what I was saying however. They've stated the software is ready, and have given mulitple "due" dates that have all missed the mark. Consumers are getting pretty upset now, me included, so by my stating that telling them a return/refund is happening it would intice them to think more about their actions and give a better communication to everyone regarding the product.

So I've been gazing intently at my red card for a few hours and got to wondering about something.

What is that small opening? Why is it there?


RGB Led that was used to do diagnostics on 1.x versions. The color the LED would be stuck would indicate if there was a problem or not.

I'd be surprised if they even reacted at that. They don't sell directly to customers, so the resellers will be getting all the complaints and refund demands. I don't know if all resellers have a return policy, but I'd be willing to bet they don't, and even if they did, a lot of people have been sitting on a Gateway (just waiting for the update) for over a month.

The point is, returns probably won't even see it to Gateway themselves, so at this point they basically have everyone by the balls. Release or not, they've already cashed out.

This is how a lot of the world works now. Distributors sell to resellers, but just because the reseller has to issue a refund of sold goods doesn't mean the distributor doesn't hear about it. If the resellers get 10,000 returned GW cards you don't think they would say something to GW about funds lost?
