I got mine from playmods.co.uk and i tell u it looks EXACTLY the same. So seems to be legit.

Like i said, if there isnt one, there will be very soon. But honestly do you think there are a lot of people on post 4.5 and pre 9.0 FW? I bet you percentage wise its a minuscule number. And further and furhter we get from 2014, the less and less of those people there will be. If they are delaying a release by a month because of adding this support that will be used now by 1% of their customers and thereby denying the other 99% of their customers a product, then its a COLLOSAL waste of time.. because in a year or two, there will be no one on those FWs at all!

Oh well you still can get 4.5 3DS XL at stores here in Germany.
I discovered some at Gamestop and also one at Media Markt.
And according to the GW team their update will support everything from 4.1 up to 9.2, so it doesn't really matter either way.
But I wanna use my Zelda 3DS XL again and those never came with 4.5 :/

You can simply pull off the sticker and move it up a bit. The shop you got it from just placed it wonky.

Yes, but for a very short time. Read my reply right before you posted that one. More time passes less and less of those systems/users there will be. If adding support is why they are holding up release then IMHO thats dumb. Its better to let 99% of your customers use the product and make them happy, because happy customer is a returning customer. And tell those 1% to wait until there is a game to update their system to 9.0-9.2 OR work on the support for 5.x-8.x after 99% of people have been served and are happy. But they are basically not serving a cafeteria full of people because timmy has diahrea and is taking a shit... noone gets to eat because of fucking timmy...

In the end it will be 1% of people that will wait, and you know what? They wont even be pissed, they would be a neutral or even a happy customer! Why? because they understand that its extra work thats being done for them. Release of 9.0-9.2 support gives Gateway track record. And 1% of customers waiting is better than 100% of customers waiting under any circumstance!

Yep, I've seen many around at 7.X so... The amount of used systems sitting in stores will most likely be pre 9.0

Despite the wait, GW made the ballsy move of placing everyone on the same boat. So now they're the only ones with so much features + coverable FW range. That looks VERY WELL on a feature set, and you can't blame'em.

Once the update is out, Sky3ds will look like an overpriced POS. :/

The thing is, most people that want this are on 9.2, and those that arent can easily upgrade to it.

Not so much for those of us who just got our N3DS. The regular sized JPN ones are 8.1 as far as I know, and there currently isn't any known way of upgrading to 9.0-9.2 since it's 9.4 right now.

Well honestly yes Sky3DS would satisfy my needs; however I am not too faithful in it's future, and I already bought a Gateway when they said "few days" the first time... I am a moron for believing them! At this point Im considering selling it and going for Sky3DS or DSTwo whenever they release theirs. But then again with Gateway you cant upgrade FW, and you probably cant with Sky3DS... so they are kind of in the same boat. I dont care about region locking as I have a US 3DS and everything I want to play comes out in the US.

If you don't care about region free, that does not mean the rest of their costumers don't.

It DOES have region free and .cia support. It may even have emunand, all we know for sure is that the "beta" that sonyUSA had didn't have emunand.

If there isn't EmuNand in the next update
Sky will still a good choice , actually the
Only benefit that is in GW and not in sky is region-free
Which is not important for all users
