It looks like gateway is paying handsomely well for some here on this forum to defend them, it`s like they`ve taken this task as a reason to live.
Once again, no one here is suggesting that what Gateway does is easy, we do not wish to be a competitor... All we are saying is that they are poor at setting expectations through their communication.
EXACTLY! And to be fair when you preorder a game a exact release date is mentioned whereas GW never mentioned anything about a release date.
Jeez, embarassing to read what people are posting here. I'm guess they're mostly from kids. I don't recall gateway promising anything, and if they did, coding can go wrong, and I'd rather it get delayed indefinitely than have a greater risk of bricking my device. Only things I've recalled them saying is something along the lines of it should be ready before school starts again? (But that may vary in a lot of places, so who knows by what date they meant) And I remember another email about before 18th January. I don't recall them ever promising a specific date.
If they don't make it, then perhaps its lying, perhaps it took longer than they thought, whatever the case, you can actually do whatever you want as a result of that, whether it be buying another flashcard or not, otherwise, theres frankly no other option than to wait, or you could just email them delaying it more, and I'm thankful they're not just releasing it as quick as they can, because I'd rather have a stable, safe update.

Thing is, even preordering a game we have a deadline, which is not the case here, this update could be release in the next hours, or days, or months, or years!

The thing people dont understand is that all the things that were mentioned in the video were probably early beta or even alpha. A lot of things could have changed by then including emunand support.
