My answer to that is the same things Ive just said, if they try and do price fixing, they will never get all resellers on board, because it's illegal in a great many places, so people will buy from those cheaper places instead, if they individually jack up their price, they will never convince all resellers to do the same, so people will buy from those instead.
They are going to enjoy a huge boom in business and greatly increased overall profit by staying at the same price, they have no reason to squander it and lose their business to smarter retailers.

This is basic logic that all resellers are going to take into consideration, no matter how shady it is, basic business sense still applies.

I was told by my source that it was by the end of the week, but Friday seemed resonable. That's why I chose 48 hours. To stay on the fair side if his prediction, while keeping hype levels up

That said, dont take it as an excuse if you dont want to. I said early on with my predicition exactly this. I'm still hoping really hard and expecting that it pulls through today

anyway i haven't gotten a reply yet but i don't really care cos I know it'd just say "should be by the end of the week"

ninjahax uses ssspwn, and cubic ninja QR is just the entry point, both are useless without each other but together, they're an exploit. But SSSpwn itself isn't an exploit.

Also to those who are confused, SSSpwn is patched in 9.3 onward, but the cubic ninja QR entry point is not, all it would take is some more work and there's probably a possibility of another exploit in there. If smealum was going to try find one, he'd find it post 'new' 3ds US release and not before.

2Hack had predicted the 30th Dec, then the 31st..a gut feeling it was on that day. Next was the 1st of Jan 2015 and now the update will be in a few hours through his "sources"

Given the laws of probability the prediction will eventually be correct

But that's not my point. When we learn Economics, we are taught humans have unlimited wants. Expecting Gateway to deliver is one of the wants. It doesn't have to be fulfilled, but expecting something never hurts.

The price has already gone $5 up at YeahGeek.com I would imagine the others resellers wont be an exception. As soon as theres a shortage of GW the price will go up for sure.

If this exploit has to use the network ability of the 3DS somehow to download a file from a server will it be a one time thing to boot into Gateway mode or do we have to do it every time? What if I turn off my 3DS and don't have access to the internet? It seems like Gateway is preparing their servers for something at least from some information way back. It doesn't bother me too much as I have internet access pretty much all the time, but just thinking out loud.

I sure it wont use any network connection due to a possible update nag and nobody wants that.

I said, I had hopes before. I never said I had a source before. Why do people keep bringing this up? I also hoped December 15th And 16th, and 20th.ect. my source told me yesterday that it will be on out by monday, while that Friday is reasonable.

Also I made the prediction at 18:00-19:00Est yesterday. The timer is wrong, but I never said anything. it's now 11:07 est
