If this exploit has to use the network ability of the 3DS somehow to download a file from a server will it be a one time thing to boot into Gateway mode or do we have to do it every time? What if I turn off my 3DS and don't have access to the internet? It seems like Gateway is preparing their servers for something at least from some information way back. It doesn't bother me too much as I have internet access pretty much all the time, but just thinking out loud.

Generally, once a device has been exploited and unsigned code can be run, you can install certain things to make it permanent so you don't need to do the exploit procedure again.
...except those tethered iOS jailbreaks I guess?

What if resellers of gateway communicate with each other and make the price go up together? There are only a handful of resellers so making this a cartel is not all that hard at all.
Update released->more buyers, since sky3ds is shit compared to gw, except u want to push that fricking button to death -> higher price since more demand -> more profit overall.

Edit: only way to stop that would be gw telling resellers that they r not allowed if they dont want to lose their official reseller title. But why would gw do that?

Like I said many pages ago, no matter what, one reseller will stay at the current price, everyone will buy from them instead, so all resellers would be smart to stay as they are now and not induce a price competition.
What you described is called "price fixing", which is illegal in a good number of countries.
