Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

My guess is it will take Nintendo a little while to patch the kernel exploit. With something this big I'm sure that gateway will HEAVILY obfuscate it in order to protect their work.

Let's hope so. It's taking them long enough. Maybe we'll only see it in a big AAA release. What do we have ahead for the 3DS?

alright guys i sold my ps4 (that i havent touched since destiny) now im heading over to nippon yasan to buy me a n3ds ll lets all keep our fingers crossed for no update or that gw still works with the update. that would work too :]

oh and if we can install cias on sysnand couldnt that cause issues for gateway? like i could just borrow my gateway to a friend then have them install a whole bunch of cias n so on. oh wells well all see when its released i guess

You'll want to wait and see how compatibility is with the new exploit though. If people are right so far the new exploit may now be able to handle games 9.2+ once Nintendo patches the exploit out. Unless it has emunand, but all I've seen is people saying it wont have emunand. So for now I am keeping onto my 4.5 3DS and as soon as it is confirmed that compatibility will be the same as a 4.5 system then I will upgrade to a N3DS or an XL maybe.

My thoughts exactly, if the card can use emunand then I will for sure buy a N3DS asap. However if it's locked into 9.2, I'd probably hold off on buying the N3DS.

you can still buy the N3DS to enjoy the already available 3DS games in much better 3D effect. as much as i love playing games in 3D i sometimes get headaches from it on the current 3DS & 3DS XL consoles (3DS XL more) this is why i'm seriously thinking about importing a pal N3DS (not XL as i found out i like them small better plus the N3DS is bigger at 4inch vs 3.5inch) but if i do i will still keep my old standard white 3DS.

Just purchased a gateway from ozmodchips and was delivered today. unfortunately my 3ds is in another state. So hopefully neither gateway or Nintendo update till after the weekend and I can still update to 9.2 in time.

I don't think you should hesitate. Its still worth it even if no emunand personally.

I'm all up for the Gateway hype.. But could I get into the "better CPU/GPU - better 3D" hype? I really like the 3D the 3DS puts out, but the perfect point you have to find.. YEESH.

If they have kernel access which it seems they have, theres a 90% chance were gonna get emunand support also. But even if we dont get it which is rather not probable We still have support for a bunch of cool games especially if youre new to the 3DS sysytem. All in all anything is better than a 10 game limit.

I have the XL. The 3D is pretty much an instant hit. Its better than I thought it could be. Certain games are amazing now. Castlevania, DOA, Sonic games... The 3D is just dead on. The C-Stick is very nice. I play the demos and then compare on my 4.5 and I really long to move over to the new console.
