Well.. Nintendo DOES market their 2DS towards children who aren't old enough for 3D.

Actually western nintendo even and ever want the market to child .. do you know .. majoar's mask was rated E , Mother don't get translation, if wasn't smahs bros melle there were not going to have fire emblem in englsh(and you know that they considerate to remove marth and roy from it since there wasn't their games here) they let A LOT of stupid indies like minecraft and angry birds clones while there a lot of nice teen/mature games that never come,also indies!But if luckily one do, even not needing translation at all, get chaged to lower the "target audience" like happened with bravely default...
this is why JROG is rare to come, because, in general, western kids don't like agmes with lots of reading , even id teens/adults do like it, theyare left apart
