Also, it's a damn good strategy they have too. Announce 9.x support coming "soon" so people run out and purchase/update consoles right after Sky3DS releases. GW won't work on 9.3+ so people are afraid to update. People won't buy the Sky3DS because they can't update and believe that 9.X support is coming "soon". Keep this market cornered for a few months, knock down Sky3DS sales, release 9.x support months after it's promised.

Yes, but if you want to play online, you've to patch the ROMs with a header.

Think it would be more profitable if they released it earlier tbh. A lot of sky3ds sales came from people who are impatient with Gateway.

I don't think they're bothering with tactics and strategy. I think they just want to get this product release ASAP as much as all of us.

At the same time though if they had the update ready why not just release it to compete with sky3ds? They'd sell more with a currently working product than without. In fact I think more ppl have bought a sky3ds because they want something to do while they wait for gateways update lol
