Well if 2Hack is right in 48 hours tops all conspiracy theories will be dead huh. So will be this thread.
Kinda a sad idea, it's a bittersweet thing.

I'm a professional engineer and I say that a couple of months from product demo to product launch is completely normal.
Like I'd give another 70 euros (if not more?) to buy a totally trusted Sky3DS while I wait for the Gateway update.....yeah you keep repeating that mantra to yourself. lulz
I fully agree with this.I'm a professional engineer and I say that a couple of months from product demo to product launch is completely normal.
If 2Hack is right? Welp, it was nice chatting with you all, but I've got games to play.Well if 2Hack is right in 48 hours tops all conspiracy theories will be dead huh. So will be this thread.

I can somewhat agree to this. Depends on what you mean by professional though. It's certainly professional for them.the method by which they handled their 'announcement', was not normal.....or professional.
Guess I'll be a professional translator and say Gateway's engrish is full of garbage that overshadows their true intentions with a release date![]()
I fully agree with this.

I would just wait you can't remove games from sky3ds you know.Like I'd give another 70 euros (if not more?) to buy a totally trusted Sky3DS while I wait for the Gateway update. If I had that much money to burn, I'd just buy the games themselves.

..
Not you tho', Mr. Star. You and your team have a project to fulfill that highly interests me.![]()
I know I know .. I was just trying to jump onto the professional bandwagon too.Their release is and always has been "when it's done". [...] Most products don't get concrete release dates. They just release them when they're ready.
And even then you often have a couple of weeks leeway in release just to clear up inevitable last minute bugs.
I fully agree with this.
But, the method by which they handled their 'announcement', was not normal.....or professional.
Gosh. I'd hate to be the one who pissed on your milk this morning.
Edit: I 'dun wanna be that 'kinda guy where you say stuff like: "God damn it a guy comes here to say some good stuff, gets stoned to death, say some bad stuff, equally stoned to death".
That's not the case but seriously. Massive case of I-Told-You-Soitus in there.
*Oh I dunno.. Maybe you'd like some Digi-poop with your Gateway, that's all.Gee Phantom WHY do you think* I care about the 9.2 update in the first place?
Not to play games obviously. I can let the cat out of the sack now: I wanted to show Decode translated running on 9.2 for New Year and the GW team kinda put a damper to this. That's where my frustration is coming from.
I got a japanese 3DS and all the games I need. It's the unsigned code (= romhack) ability I care for![]()
I don't know. The announcement and youtube demo was a fairly typical announcement. I just don't think they had expected to be badgered for a release date by dozens of kids every day, that's probably where they started feeling the pressure to name a release date when they had just planned "when it's finished"
