The SKY3DS team is Chinese. But it's not clear where Gateway is from, some Chinese retailers have stated before that they are foreign based. I reckon they're from somewhere in Europe, but it doesn't matter to me where they are from. We just want the release and Gateway wants to stay as anonymous as possible.

There's not really anything in that to suggest it's been modified, look at the case study in the tutorials, Fotoforensics is a lot more than seeing if it looks fishy, it highlights very specific things that you need to interpret yourself.

even if it had that, it doesn't guarantee it being legit, take any email response except the one's you receive with a pinch of salt....but that being said unless its claiming something outlandish like "yeah we release 12/04/16"....i wouldn't be so suspicious
